Announced a couple of months ago, RAD is a new 3D Roguelike game with an 80s aesthetic, which is being developed by Double Fine and published by Bandai Namco. The game's premise will see players traversing a post-apocalyptic world looking for survivors and fighting mutant creatures along the way.

The more the player's character is exposed to the toxins in this post-apocalyptic world, the more chances they have to mutate into a monster, which will automatically make them more powerful.

As announced today by Bandai Namco, RAD has finally been given an official release date, which will see the game releasing for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Stream(PC) on the 20th of August. Alongside the announcement, the publisher also released a small batch of high definition screenshots so, without further ado, go ahead and take a look:

Playing as a teenage protagonist, you must venture into the Fallow — an ever-changing, radioactive wasteland filled with unknown and unspeakable creatures. It is here that you will find the solution to heal the world, and transform the cracked, barren landscape into a lush source of new life.

RAD will release for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Steam(PC) on the 20th of August.
