During this year's E3, Capcom announced that
Resident Evil 5 and
Resident Evil 6 were making their way into the Nintendo Switch at a yet-to-be-determined date this year; giving players the chance to experience these titles on a Nintendo console for the first time ever.
Capcom then revealed that
Resident Evil 5 and
Resident Evil 6 would both release at the same time, finally becoming available for the Nintendo Switch on the
29th of October; joining the previously released
Resident Evil 0,
Resident Evil, and
Resident Evil 4.
Today, Capcom has announced that pre-orders for both
Resident Evil 5 and
Resident Evil 6 have just become available; making players aware that demo versions of both games will also be released today on the Nintendo Switch eShop. As of this writing, however, neither show up on the eShop.
It is worth mentioning that Capcom has also announced that players who already own digital copies of
Resident Evil 0,
Resident Evil, or
Resident Evil 4 — on the Nintendo Switch — will also get a discount when they pre-order
Resident Evil 5 and
Resident Evil 6.

While the Umbrella Corporation and its crop of lethal viruses have been destroyed and contained, a more dangerous threat has emerged. Somewhere in Africa, innocent villagers are transforming into aggressive and disturbing creatures. Featuring online and couch co-op, players can experience this Resident Evil classic as either Chris Redfield or his partner Sheva Alomar, as the duo works together to investigate and stop those responsible for the viral outbreak. Resident Evil 5 releases on Nintendo Switch this Fall.
Blending action and survival horror, Resident Evil 6 delivers an epic dramatic horror experience. Resident Evil favorites Leon S. Kennedy, Chris Redfield and Ada Wong are joined by new characters, including Jake Muller, to face a new horror, the highly virulent C-virus, as the narrative moves between North America, the war-torn Eastern European state of Edonia and the Chinese city of Lanshiang.
Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6 will be available for the Nintendo Switch on the 29th of October.
