Resident Evil 3 Remake will be releasing on April 3rd for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The upcoming third-person shooter is a remake of the game of the same name from 1999 that released for the Sony PlayStation and Nintendo GameCube. The player assumes the role of Jill Valentine and must traverse a zombie-ridden Raccoon City while being hunted by the monstrous Nemesis.

While the upcoming remake won't feature the multiplayer "Mercenaries" mode that was included with the original, nor multiple endings for that matter (more on that here), it will feature a new multiplayer mode.

Resident Evil: Resistance is an online multiplayer game mode that sees four players pit against one who can control the in-game environment and enemies — spawning traps and the like. It was developed by NeoBards Entertainment as was previously considered a standalone game — called Project Resistance.

IGN was recently made privy to some gameplay footage of Resident Evil: Resistance — specifically on the maps "Casino," and "Amusement Park." You can check out the eight-minute video for yourself below:

Resident Evil 3 remake will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC from April 3rd, 2020.
