Resident Evil Village was announced last month during the PlayStation 5 presentation hosted by Sony, with a dark and creepy trailer that saw series protagonist Chris Redfield seemingly switching sides — which is actually a rather interesting take on one of the series' most beloved characters.
While the announcement trailer for Resident Evil Village was a crowd-pleaser, fans of the critically acclaimed survivor-horror series were still left wanting to see more of the game, at least in terms of gameplay. Well, now it seems that they will soon be getting a proper gameplay trailer, as new information reveals that this could be as soon as next month.
Before we continue, it is still best that you take this information with a pinch of salt, as it has not been confirmed by Capcom.
According to reputable video game industry insider @AestheticGamer1, Capcom will be releasing a brand-new trailer for Resident Evil Village in August, and this trailer would also come with "some other things," leading us to believe that gameplay and probably an official release date could be revealed.
So far, Capcom has only revealed that Resident Evil Village will be launching in 2021, and an official release window has yet to be shared. The remakes of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis both released in Q1 of their respective launch years, so it is likely that Capcom could be targetting Q1 of 2021 for Resident Evil Village as well.
August is only a few days away, so we may even see Capcom releasing new information, a proper gampelay trailer, and an official release date for Resident Evil Village as soon as next week. Fingers crossed.
