Capcom's long-awaited
Resident Evil 2 remake is becoming available in less than 24 hours, and fans of the iconic survival horror series will finally be able to get their hands on what seems to be the best
Resident Evil title in years.
While
Resident Evil 2 is full-fledged remake of the original title, there are still some aspects about the new game that long-time fans of the series will be pleased to see making a comeback; one of them being the threatening and imposing Tyrant.
Now that we're only a day away from the game's release, the PlayStation Underground have shared a brand-new gameplay video that shows off some Tyrant gameplay in both the original
Resident Evil 2 and the remake, as they are joined by
Resident Evil 2 remake Director and Producer Yasuhiro Anpo and Peter Fabiano, respectively.
What's interesting here is that the Tyrant will be showing up in both Claire and Leon's campaigns; as opposed to the original
Resident Evil 2, in which Claire was the only one who ran into this now-iconic staple character of the
Resident Evil series.
Take a look:
The genre-defining masterpiece Resident Evil 2 returns, completely re-built from the ground up for a deeper narrative experience. Using Capcom’s proprietary RE Engine, Resident Evil 2 offers a fresh take on the classic survival horror saga with breathtakingly realistic visuals, heart-poundingly immersive audio, a new over-the-shoulder camera, and modernized controls on top of gameplay modes from the original game.
Resident Evil 2 will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam on the 25th of January.
