It feels like it was yesterday that Capcom announced that they were working on a
Resident Evil 2 remake, except for the fact that the announcement was made in 2015 and we've anxiously been waiting for the game to come out ever since.
Now that the game is only a few weeks away from releasing, on the
25th of January, we get our first look at the full list of trophies and achievements for Capcom's
Resident Evil 2 remake — and there are quite a few interesting surprises in it.
While some of the trophies/achievements may contain some things that some players may be better off not knowing about
Resident Evil 2, especially for the people who have not had the chance to play the original game, be warned that this list does have a few spoilers here and there.
Back in June of last year, we found out that
Resident Evil 2 was doing away with the "Leon A/Claire B" and "Claire A/Leon B" campaigns in order to feature two campaigns that will show you the events of the whole story on your first playthrough; which had some fans slightly disappointed given that perhaps the game would not have as much content as the original.
That's why it is interesting to see that this trophies/achievements list for
Resident Evil 2 has a Silver Hidden Trophy Called "Broken Umbrella, which is described as "Witness the true ending"; implying that the
Resident Evil 2 remake may have even more replay value than we originally anticipated.
Trophy List Removed Per Publisher's Request
The genre-defining masterpiece Resident Evil 2 returns, completely re-built from the ground up for a deeper narrative experience. Using Capcom’s proprietary RE Engine, Resident Evil 2 offers a fresh take on the classic survival horror saga with breathtakingly realistic visuals, heart-poundingly immersive audio, a new over-the-shoulder camera, and modernized controls on top of gameplay modes from the original game.
Resident Evil 2 will be available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on the 25th of January 2019.
