The upcoming remake of Resident Evil 2 (that will be available for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on the 25th of January) is one of the most-anticipated video games of 2019, and it looks like Capcom is making hay while the sun shines, as the latest report indicates that the Japanese company is already working on a full-blown reimagined version of the third installment in the Resident Evil series.

According to ResetEra user DuskGolem, "Resident Evil 3 Remake is already in development." While he wouldn't comment any further, Resident Evil 2 Producer Tsuyoshi Kanda recently said "it would be interesting to provide OTS versions of our fixed camera games," hinting at a remake of RE3, that was the last major RE game that featured fixed camera angles before the release of the revolutionary RE4.

Considering that Capcom has already launched remade versions Resident Evil Zero and the first Resident Evil, with Resident Evil 2 on the horizon, it makes sense to expect an official announcement of Resident Evil 3: Nemesis Remake, since it tells a parallel story that takes place 24 hours before, during and after Resident Evil 2. At the time of writing, Capcom still hasn't responded to DuskGolem's claims.
