It looks like someone at the Microsoft team just accidentally uploaded a reveal trailer for
Sniper Elite V2: Remastered a bit too early. While Rebellion still hasn't even updated the game's website, the description under the said trailer on Xbox's YouTube channel reveals that the upcoming remaster will feature some welcome additions, including "
Enhanced Graphics 4K & HDR Support" on Xbox One X.
The vastly upscaled resolution and far better color accuracy won't be the only major features of the upgraded
Sniper Elite V2: Remastered, as
V2 v2.0 (see what I did here?) will also give you a unique chance to play as unidentified new characters, assassinate the Führer, and use a special photo mode.
Naturally, the remaster will include all the post-launch DLCs (
The Neudorf Outpost Pack, The Landwehr Canal Pack, St. Pierre), but it's unclear if it will allow you to stalk other snipers online and play in co-op.
Be sure to take a closer look at
Sniper Elite V2: Remastered's reveal gameplay trailer down below:
In the dark days of the end of World War Two amidst the ruins of Berlin, one bullet can change history… Sniper Elite V2 is an award-winning and authentic World War II sniping experience. You are elite US sniper Karl Fairburne. Parachuted into Berlin amidst the Germans’ final stand, your mission is to prevent Nazi V2 rocket program technology from falling into the hands of the besieging Red Army. You must aid key scientists keen to defect to the US, and terminate those who would help the Russians. As World War Two ends and the Cold War begins, every shot counts. Use it wisely.
Sniper Elite V2 Remastered is coming in 2019.
