In June of last year, THQ Nordic announced that they were remaking SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom, and that the game would be releasing for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC(Steam) at a yet to be determied date in 2020.
SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated was no a better-looking version of the original game, as THQ Nordic also added a few new features to keep things interesting for players, like a new multiplayer mode, and content that they didn't include in the original game.
Today, THQ Nordic has announced that SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated will finally be hitting store shelves on the 23rd of June, and that pre-orders for the upcoming title are currently open via their official website for the game.
THQ Nordic had previously annonced that SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated would be getting some special editions, and pre-orders for both the Shiny Edition and F.U.N. Edition are also open, although product selection for some countries has been reduced due to increase demand.
