Left Alive is a survival shooter game developed and published by Square Enix coming in 2019 for the PlayStation 4 and Steam. The game is set in the year 2127 in the fictional city of Novo Slava; a city wedged between the Republic of Ruthenia and the Republic of Garmoniya.
Throughout the game, players will be able to play as three main characters; each providing different points of view on the whole story found in
Left Alive. All of these characters will find themselves fighting to survive the war; armed with giant, powerful mechs.
The game is developed by veteran Armored Core series director Toshifumi Nabeshima, and features designs by Yoji Shinkawa, who was the character designer forthe Metal Gear series. Joining them, we have
Ghost in the Shell,
Mobile Suit Gundam 00, and
Xenoblade Chronicles X mech designer Takayuki Yanase.
Today, Square Enix has released two new trailers for
Left Alive, as well as an official release date, and the game will be available on the
5th of March. The first trailer us a bit more of the war during the 21st century—which resulted in humans building giant mechs to fight wars where humns couldn't—and the second one shows us the struggles that the 3 main characters will go through in order to survive this terrible war.
