Dead by Daylight is no stranger to horror crossovers, and its latest Chapter may be one of the most iconic for players. Behaviour Interactive has teamed up with AMC to bring The Walking Dead to Dead by Daylight, featuring Rick Grimes and Michonne as new playable Survivors. Legendary fan-favorite Daryl Dixon also joins via an Outfit transformation, all available starting July 29th.

Announced recently, this crossover includes original voice acting from Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes) and Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon), along with a new map tile blending iconic settings from the series into the Dead by Daylight universe.

As a former sheriff’s deputy who’s battled his way through post-apocalyptic chaos, Rick Grimes is a symbol of leadership and resilience. In Dead by Daylight, his three character-specific perks reflect his hardened but compassionate nature:

Apocalyptic Ingenuity: Scavenge Chests to create temporary Pallets to replace broken ones.

Come and Get: After unhooking a Survivor, make all nearby injured allies silent at the cost of briefly revealing yourself.

Teamwork: Toughen Up – If a nearby Survivor stuns the Killer while you're injured, your tracks and pain noises are hidden temporarily.

Wielding her iconic katana, Michonne arrives with a backstory driven by her search for Rick after his mysterious disappearance. Her skills focus on recovery and protecting her team:

Conviction:  Heal others to activate a self-revive ability, but failure returns you to the Dying State.

Last Stand: Vaulting near the Killer after staying in their radius without being chased stuns them.

Teamwork: Throw Down - Stun the Killer with a pallet to grant nearby injured Survivors Endurance and show them the Killer’s Aura.

Although not a full Survivor in the traditional sense, Daryl Dixon enters The Fog through a Legendary Outfit. This skin transforms an existing character into Daryl, complete with new animations and voice lines. Other outfits include:

  • Rick’s Last Day on Earth and Brutal Awakening
  • Michonne’s The Next World and What We Become
  • Several Uncommon recolor options

A brand-new Map Tile is added to the Garden of Joy when Rick or Michonne are loaded in. This unique set piece features:

  • The prison setting from The Walking Dead Seasons 3 and 4
  • The legendary "Don’t Open Dead Inside" hospital doors from the series pilot
  • Visuals tainted by the Entity’s corrupt influence

Dead by Daylight: The Walking Dead is available now on the Public Test Build (PTB) and officially launches July 29th. This collaboration brings together two powerhouse horror franchises with rich lore, unique gameplay mechanics, and unforgettable characters.

For Dead by Daylight and Walking Dead fans alike, this Chapter promises fresh survival experiences and a new kind of terror in The Fog.
