The French video game developer, Ubisoft, had a press conference where it explained its financial performance and its plans when it comes to its upcoming games. The company has stated that Breakpoint's performance was not satisfactory and thus had to delay these three upcoming titles. Watchdogs: Legion, Rainbow Six Quarantine and Gods and Monsters.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ghost Recon Breakpoint failed to land on the top five best-sellers of its launch month. Ubisoft also stated that it plans to "implement optimal experiences for every player" and thus had to delay the games, making them as optimal as they can.

“In this overall context, we have decided to postpone the releases of Gods & Monsters, Rainbow Six Quarantine and Watch_Dogs Legion until 2020-21,” Guillemot said in the announcement. “While each of these games already has a strong identity and high potential, we want our teams to have more development time to ensure that their respective innovations are perfectly implemented so as to deliver optimal experiences for players. This decision will have a very significant impact on our financial results for this fiscal year and goes against our recent successes in building a more stable development model. However, it is in line with our strategy to maximize the future value of our brands for the long-term benefit of our employees, players and shareholders. We expect it to have a positive impact on our financial performance as from 2020-21.”

Of course, this will hit hard on those players that were expecting the games to be launched in their original release date. However, something positive to look forward to is the dedication and optimization of the titles and the company. Ubisoft is trying its best to deliver a better experience to every player out there.

Watch Dogs: Legion was set to release on March 6th, Gods and Monsters was launching on February 25th and Rainbow Six Quarantine did not have a month attached to its 2020 release date. As soon as more information on these titles and the delay is shared we will let you know. Comment down below if you were waiting for one of these games.
