Insomniac Games recently revealed that they're developing Marvel's Wolverine exclusively for the PlayStation 5. Brian Horton, the creative director of Spider-Man: Miles Morales, is in charge and that points to us getting a title that does the character as much justice as X-Men Origins: Wolverine once did.
It's still very early days for the project, but Horton has now taken to Twitter to confirm that Wolverine will be a full-length game and not just a spinoff (meaning it should have a decent playtime).
He also teased a "mature tone," likely meaning this is a bloody, brutal adventure that does Logan justice.
With work currently taking place on Spider-Man 2, it's likely the teams who developed Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart have moved on to Wolverine, but we're confident that the project is going to be in safe hands with Horton. Unfortunately, we're not expecting to see anything from this one for quite some time as even a 2023 release date seems optimistic.
A voice cast also hasn't been revealed, though Steve Blum remains a popular choice after his past work playing Wolverine. Time will tell on that front, of course, but we'll be sure to keep you updated!
