A few hours ago, Square Enix hosted the promised War Table livestream for Crystal Dynamics' MARVEL's Avengers, revealing a bunch of new details about the soon-to-be-released title; including that Kate Bishop(Hawkeye) will be joining the game's roster as a post-launch character.
MARVEL's Avengers is finally becoming available this weekend for the PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia, although the developers have also confirmed that the game is expected to launch at a later date for Sony and Microsoft's next-gen consoles.
What's more, those who purchase the current-gen version of MARVEL's Avengers will be able to upgrade it to the next-gen version completely free of charge, so players who want to play the best version of the game don't necessarily have to wait until the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X release; it can be upgraded done at a later date.
Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics were not done, though, as they have released a short, albeit hilarious, gameplay trailer that sees Tony Stark — Iron Man himself — teaching players how to properly beam their enemies in style, and we all know he's all about style.
According to Tony Stark, this seems to be part of something he's called Superior Seminars, so we may even see some other "tutorial" videos in which he showcases some of the other Avengers' shocking and fantastic abilities.
Check it out:
Marvel’s Avengers begins at A-Day, where Captain America, Iron Man, the Hulk, Black Widow, and Thor are unveiling a hi-tech Avengers Headquarters in San Francisco — including the reveal of their own helicarrier powered by an experimental energy source. The celebration turns deadly when a catastrophic accident results in massive devastation. Blamed for the tragedy, the Avengers disband. Five years later, with all Super Heroes outlawed and the world in peril, the only hope is to reassemble Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.
MARVEL's Avengers will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia on Friday the 4th of September; PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X release date to be determined.
