One year ago, Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix launched their vision of Marvel's Avengers. While we'd grown accustomed to seeing the heroes on the big screen, this was a chance to actually suit up as them in an original storyline.

While it's been a rocky first year for the ambitious and once highly anticipated game, Crystal Dynamics has continued to stick with it, releasing content updates regularly. Since launch, three full-fledged expansions have been released, adding new playable characters -- Kate Bishop, Hawkeye, and, most recently, Black Panther -- along with new story add-ons, missions, villains, and more. Looking further ahead, Spider-Man is still slated to arrive in the PlayStation versions of the game.

In celebration of the 1-year anniversary for Marvel's Avengers, Crystal Dynamics is giving players a full bundle of items. The highlight is Iron Man's Iron Alloy Outfit, but you'll also get Black Panther Nameplate 10, two 2-hour Hero's Catalysts (2x XP), and two 2-hour Fragment Extractor (100% more Fragments). The Anniversary Bundle is available in the game's Marketplace for this week only until September 9.

There's also a new Mission Chain, titled "1 Year Anniversary!" Available until September 16, you must complete each Campaign, including the Reassemble campaign, both the Kate and Clint Operations, and the newly released War for Wakanda Expansion to obtain a Legendary Nameplate that celebrate's the game's anniversary. If you've already completed these, you'll retroactively be granted the reward.

While Crystal Dynamics is celebrating the past year of Marvel's Avengers, they're still looking ahead to the future of the game. On September 8, they'll be sharing an updated roadmap for the remainder of 2021 as well as a State of the Game Blog that reveals plans for the future of Marvel's Avengers.
