There has been a lot of controversy when it comes to Star Wars games lately, namely those that have been strictly published by Electronic Arts. This mainly has to do with the fact that Electronic Arts really likes to push microtransactions down the throats of players, who are getting pretty tired of said practices.

When Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was finally revealed last week, players were defiitely excited for the new Star Wars adventure, especially because the premise of the game is already quite appealing to fans of the series. The problem was that, while most people were excited to see this game being developed by Respawn Entertainment, there was a sheer amount of uncertainty due to the fact that EA is still the publisher.

A few days ago, Community Manager at Electronic Arts, Jay Ingram, encouraged fans on Twitter to ask questions about Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order for him to answer.

One of the users on Twitter asked him how much of a presence does EA have in the making of the game, and whether the idea for it came from Electronic Arts or Respawn Entertainment, an Ingram said that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is "Respawn's vision. EA doesn't prescribe games to developers, just greenlights them."

This isn't to say that Electronic Arts won't have the last say when it comes to making decisions, but it is reassuring to know that this is Respawn's game and their vision hasn't been influenced by Electronic Arts, so we should expect Respawn to deliver a quality game like the ones they've delivered in the past.

Cal Kestis—one of the last surviving members of the Jedi Order after the purge of Order 66—is now a Padawan on the run. Experience this all-new single-player Star Wars story from Respawn Entertainment and EA Star Wars on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC this holiday season.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on the 15th of November.
