Season 1 of
Apex Legends doesn't kick off until March, but Respawn Entertainment is already adding new weapons to the game's arsenal. With today's update, the brand new Havoc Energy Rifle is now available in-game.
This new beast of a weapon, as Respawn calls it, is a full-auto energy rifle. It joins the Hemlock as one of the arena's "highest damager-per shot weapons in auto-fire mode," according to the developer.
It's also the only current weapon in the game to-date that can be equipped with two different hop-ups: the Turbocharger, which eliminates autofire spin-up time, and the Selectfire Receiver, which enables charge beam alt-fire mode. The Havoc is also the arena's only hitscan weapon in charge beam mode.

Aside from the new weapon,
the update mostly consisted of behind-the-scenes fixes. Most notably, it fixes two issues that were causing game crashes on PS4. It also fixed an issue with Mirage Ability and Gibraltar Epic skins (on Xbox One) causing crashes.
