Ash J. Williams, the beloved protagonist of Sam Raimi's
The Evil Dead and Renaissance Picture's
Ash vs. Evil Dead TV series, is coming to
Dead by Daylight, developer Behaviour Digital proudly announced at PAX East 2019. While the introduction of that classic hero is a great news on its own, the fact that he will be portrayed by the one and only Bruce Campbell makes the big reveal a whole lot more exciting.
The recent inclusion of Ash means that the "
survivors" team currently includes Dwight Fairfield, Meg Thomas, Claudette Morel, Jake Park, Nea Karlsson, Laurie Strode, Ace Visconti, Bill Overbeck, Feng Min, David King, Quentin Smith, David Tapp, Kate Denson, Adam Francis, Jeff Johansen, Jane Romero, and the all-new Ash Williams, with three more "good guys" still coming to the acclaimed title in 2019.
Those who prefer chasing, hurting, and killing the remaining survivors have a chance to play as Evan MacMillan, Philip Ojomo, Max Thompson Jr., Sally Smithson, Michael Myers, Lisa Sherwood, Herman Carter, Anna, Junior Sawyer, Freddy Krueger, Amanda Young, Jeffrey Hawk, Rin Yamaoka, F. J. S. J., and Adiris, with three more villains joining the ever-expanding
Dead by Daylight roster this year as well.
Be sure to take a closer look at
Dead by Daylight's version of Bruce Campbell's Ash in the trailer below:
Death Is Not an Escape. Dead by Daylight is a multiplayer (4vs1) horror game where one player takes on the role of the savage Killer, and the other four players play as Survivors, trying to escape the Killer and avoid being caught, tortured and killed. Survivors play in third-person and have the advantage of better situational awareness. The Killer plays in first-person and is more focused on their prey. The Survivors' goal in each encounter is to escape the Killing Ground without getting caught by the Killer - something that sounds easier than it is, especially when the environment changes every time you play.
Dead by Daylight is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC; coming to Nintendo Switch this fall.
