Supergiant Games is an insanely productive developer, as they launched three critically acclaimed games,
Bastion, Transistor, and
Pyre, in the span of six years. Yesterday, they announced their next major thing elegantly titled
Hades, and what's even better, the dungeon crawler, akin to games like
The Binding of Isaac and
Enter the Gungeon, is now available in Early Access on the Epic Games Store.
There's no doubt that
Hades is one of the most high-profile titles secured for the launch of the Epic Games Store, the
Fortnite's devs alternative to Steam that might change the established landscape relatively soon, as Epic offers game developers a pretty attractive 88/12 revenue split. Just like every Early Access title ever,
Hades is still in active development, with plenty of features on the way.
As you've probably already guessed,
Hades is set in the vast underworld of Greek myths, giving you a unique chance to channel your inner god and use various powers heavily inspired by Mediterranean culture. While Supergiant Games doesn’t have a release target for
Hades just yet, they did confirm the title will be coming to “
other platforms” when the full version launches. Check it out down below:
Defy the god of death as you hack and slash your way out of the Underworld in this rogue-like dungeon crawler from the creators of Bastion and Transistor.
