Atomic Heart is an FPS set in an alternate universe during the high noon of the Soviet Union. The principal character of the game is a special agent P-3, who after an unsuccessful landing on enterprise "3826" is trying to figure out what went wrong. As you can guess, the ambitious game is not only inspired by the real invents (like the Chernobyl disaster), but also Ken Levine's Bioshock franchise.

Thanks to Dr. Stockhausen, our protagonist will face not only the dangerous and armed AI, but also an army of the living dead (commonly known as zombies). According to the press release, surviving in the hostile environment is not the only main quest, as the players will have to discover what has exactly happened in the zone - and the love of two scientist will be the core answer to that question.

Just like in the Deus Ex series, fighting enemies is not the only "right" way and nothing will stop you from avoiding combat staying in the shadows. The game will also feature customization items, but hopefully Mundfish won't join the microtransactions bandwagon. Atomic Heart uses Unreal Engine 4 and it looks wonderful and what's even better, pretty unique with the striking art-direction. You can watch the announcement trailer featuring the cover of Mieczysław Fogg's "This is the Last Sunday" (also known as "Suicide Tango") down below:

Atomic Heart is an adventure first-person shooter, events of which unfold in an alternative universe, during the high noon of the Soviet Union. The main character of the game is a special agent, who was sent to a highly secret object by the Soviet government after it went radio silent. Soviet setting with a pitch of insanity, action-packed gameplay and a thrilling story will keep you entertained for the whole duration of your journey into the world of Atomic Heart. Unfold the secrets, restore peace and order, and show the Motherland what you got!

Atomic Heart will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in 2018.
