Following a successful Kickstarter campaign, a brand-new trailer for the upcoming hack and slash game, Blasphemous, has been released, delivering a horror experience that's beautifully retro.

The new footage doesn't reveal much about the story of the latest video game, but it does feature plenty of gameplay footage. The gameplay, which is rendered in a gorgeous pixel art style that's reminiscent of classic games like Castlevania, features plenty of blood-filled action.

Blasphemous comes from the Team 17 and The Game Kitchen and is expected to slice its way on to the PlayStation, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Steam later this year.
