Jujubee, Polish developer responsible for KURSK, likes to call their first major title "the first ever adventure and documentary video game inspired by real events." KURSK is inspired by the Russian nuclear submarine K-141 Kursk catastrophe from the year 2000. In KURSK, you control a spy who's trying to gain some classified information about the powerful Shkval supercavitating torpedoes.

The producer has proudly announced that KURSK is finally out now on PC, but PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners will also have a chance to check out the survival title, as KURSK is heading to those console systems in the first half of 2019. The IGN crew recently had a chance to play KURSK with a Jujubee developersthat walks you through the action on screen in the extended gameplay down below.

In the real-world version of that event, the titular nuclear-powered cruise-missile submarine sank in the Barents Sea on April 20, 2000, killing all 118 sailors on board. The game shows the player what exactly happened long before the tragic event, and the fact that the circumstances of that disaster have not yet been fully explained allows Jujubee to tell their personal version of the tragic story.

KURSK is the first ever adventure and documentary video game inspired by real events. You assume the role of a spy who finds way on the Russian nuclear submarine K-141 Kursk. Your task is to collect secret information about the revolutionary Shkval supercavitating torpedoes.

KURSK is available for PC NOW, coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2019.
