As surreal as this all may seem, Studio MDHR's award-winning
Cuphead has finally released for the Nintendo Switch today, after being an Xbox One exclusive for a bit over a year and a half, and players can easily download it from the Nintendo Switch eShop.
The good news don't stop there, as Studio MDHR also revealed that
Cuphead will be getting a physical release for both the Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. Although we didn't get an official release date for the physical copies, we do know that these will become available once all of the DLC becomes available.
Cuphead getting a Nintendo Switch release is definitely something that nobody could have ever anticipated, and it is great to see that Nintendo and Microsoft have such a good relationship these days. Let's just hope for more collaborations like these in the near future. In the meantime, be sure to check out the launch trailer for
Cuphead, on the Nintendo Switch, down below:
Cuphead is a classic run-and-gun action game heavily focused on boss battles. Inspired by cartoons of the 1930s, the visuals and audio are painstakingly created with the same techniques of the era, i.e. traditional hand drawn cel animation, watercolor backgrounds, and original jazz recordings.
Cuphead is available for the Nintendo Switch today.
