Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown has been in development since 2015, seeing a few delays since it was supposed to release in 2017 but Bandai Namco chose to work on the game some more in order to deliver a better experience for players.
Thankfully, the Bandai Namco seems to have done a great job polishing
Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, especially after they showed off that fantastic, and action-packed trailer during this year's E3 — which finally allowed fans of the long-running series to see how well the project was going.
Now that we are only but a few weeks away from
Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown finally releasing, Bandai Namco has just posted the game's opening movie; you know, as a small taste for fans who just can't wait for the game to come out.
The opening movie introduces us to Avie(we see what you did there, Bandai Namco) — who is likely going to be one of the main characters in
Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown — giving us her background story, and motivations to take to the skies and break the sound barrier.

Ready to take to the skies once more? Set on the Usean continent, Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown’s story revolves around the Second-Continental War which takes place in the year 2019. Join the Osean Air Defense Force and get involved in conflicts that cannot simply be divided into good against evil.
Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown will be available for the PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on the 18th of January, PC version available on the 1st of February.
