"Fair warning: This is gonna be weirder than usual."
Those are the first words spoken in Remedy Entertainment's Control, and based on the newly released opening of the game, this statement is definitely an accurate description of the upcoming game.
Courtesy of the folks at IGN, the recent footage provides anxious gamers with a look at the first 13 minutes of Control. And while the gameplay isn't exactly jam-packed with action, it does an excellent job at establishing the eerie tone of the story, as Jesse Faden explores the seemingly deserted headquarters of the Federal Bureau of Control.
Along with giving viewers a sense of the game's style, the footage also features a tutorial of sorts that's set entirely within an alternate dimension and showcases a bit of the combat system.
Control is currently set to be released on August 27, 2019.
