Creators Of MOTORSTORM Return With ONRUSH And The Project's Announcement Trailer

Despite being officially closed by Sony, the developers from Evolution Studios return under the aegis of Codemasters to deliver a true arcade on-road madness - AKA the titular Onrush.

Evolution Studios didn't start this generation of consoles well. Their Driveclub, one of Playstation 4's launch titles disappointed on almost every front and the struggle to develop the title disposed Sony to close the studio. Thankfully, the majority of developers found a new home fast in Codemasters.

Yesterday, the studio announced a brand new project called Onrush, but despite Evolution's roots it won't be a Motorstorm clone. The game will focus on fighting and rivalry between the players rather than reaching the finish. Onrush seems to be also influenced by Trackmania and Burnout, two extremely arcade and "easy to learn, hard to master" racing games.

It's really nice that the Evolution employees found their new place and still produce games that match their sensibilities. Be sure to watch Onrush's announced trailer and don't forget to leave a comment down below!

Onrush will release on Xbox One and PS4 next summer.
