Starlink: Battle for Atlas was based off sci-fi, animation, comics and toys. Ubisoft Toronto built themselves a team who wanted to bring together those childhood memories back to life in their game.

The game allows the players to take control of a robust team of Star-Pilots within a massive, open, living star-system (this is starting to sound like the game No Man’s Sky was supposed to be…). Players will fight to save Atlas from the evil Forgotten Legion, whilst outrunning outlaws in asteroid fields and discovering lost artifacts.

Players can build their own, custom starship; adapting to challenges that face you on the fly by linking extra armour and weaponry.

Freedom is said to be at the core of Atlas, as players can collect, their way, with physical and digital starship collectables.

Ubisoft ended the reveal with the focus of the portability that the game will have on the Nintendo Switch.

More is said to be revealed in the coming months…
