EA, Activision and Take Two's products occupy the list of last year's best selling games in (Western) Europe. Despite selling less copies (16,2% down) than
FIFA 17, the 2018 edition managed to become the number one. That's probably the only good news for Electronic Arts, as
Star Wars: Battlefront II is down 51% compared with sales of last year's
Battlefield 1 and 49% compared to EA's first entry.
On the other hand, the end of the year for Ubisoft wasn't tough at all.
Assassin's Creed Origins is up to 32% in sales compared to
Watch_Dogs 2 and 13% ahead of
Assassin's Creed: Syndicate. Nintendo is also a lucky publisher, considering that
Super Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart 8: Deluxe and
The Legends of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sold over 300,000 copies each and all finished 2017 in the top ten.
