During today's Japan Fighting Game Publishers Roundtable, Arc System Works took the opportunity to reveal some very exciting news for fans of the Guilty Gear series; including new characters, and that the game will release for another platform.
Guilty Gear - Strive - has been on the radar of fans sicne the first trailer was released, and the developers have done a pretty good job keeping players excited for the release. So far, they have been consistently revealing which characters are making a comeback.
If there is one thing that they haven't revealed yet was original characters that have not been featured in previous entries; or, at least, up until an hour ago.
First things first, Arc System Works has released an action-packed gameplay trailer for Guilty Gear - Strive -, which reveals that series veteran Leo Whitefang will also be making a comeback, and featuring a brand-new look; much like the previously revealed characters.
This new trailer also introduces players to a brand-new character called Nagoriyuki, who seems to be a samurai that wields an odachi(a katana longer than the traditional Japanese sword) and is quite agile for his own size.
Arc System Works also confirms that Guilty Gear - Strive - will not only be releasing for the PlayStation 4, but will also be making its way into the PlayStation 5, which is great news for those who will be purchasing the console prior to the game's release.
Unfortuntely, the developers still haven't given us an official release date; all we know is that Guilty Gear - Strive - is expected to launch at some point in either Q3 or Q4 of this year. Arc System Works also reveals that the next character will be reveled early in October.
