Following online teases for Red Hood, many gamers expected NetherRealm to reveal the character at Gamescom this week. Instead, the two newest characters joining the roster are the stars of the Suicide Squad movie, Harley Quinn and Deadshot. Where Harley is a holdover from Injustice: Gods Among Us, Deadshot will be making his debut.
The number of revealed characters currently stands at 11, with rumors circulating that the total number of playable characters will be 28. Even with Red Hood all but confirmed and Ed Boon previously stating that it's highley probable that a Mortal Kombat character will be included, there's still plenty of open slots for your personal favorite DC Comics hero or villain.
Injustice 2 is currently slated to arrive on retailer shelves some time in 2017 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, IOS and Android. So far, the confirmed playable characters in the game are:
-
Batman

Superman

Gorilla Grodd
