OFFICIAL: NetherRealm's INJUSTICE 2 Gets A May 2017 Release Date
Early yesterday afternoon, Ed Boon of NetherRealm Studios officially announced a release date for their highly anticipated Injustice sequel and the wait is nowhere near as long as you might think. Come take a look!
In a surprise announcement yesterday afternoon, NetherRealm Studios' creative director Ed Boon finally revealed on his own personal Twitter account that Injustice 2 will arrive in stores for the Playstation 4 and Xbox One on May 16, 2017.
The game, which is a sequel to their 2013 smash hit Injustice: Gods Among Us, is heavily rumored to continue the original game's storyline to some degree as Batman and his followers, on a quest to restore society, will once again come into conflict with those that want to restore Superman's evil regime. Meanwhile, a major new threat will rise in the shadows and put Earth's future in an extinction-level danger.
The upcoming roster of DC heroes & villains has yet-to-be revealed, but has already been confirmed to feature several DC mainstays, including Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, and Aquaman while also introducing a number of other DC fan-favorites like Supergirl, Harley Quinn, Blue Beetle, Gorilla Grodd, and Deadshot.
