A bit over an hour ago, NetherRealm Studios released an amazing announcement trailer for Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath, which is a brand-new entry that seeks to expand on the base game's story, while also adding three new characters to the game's roster.
Fujin and Sheeva are two of the characters that will be joining the roster in Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath, but the heavy hitter was the reveal that RoboCop, from Paul Verhoeven's critically acclaimed RoboCop film, is being added to the game as a guest fighter.
Fans of both Paul Verhoeven's RoboCop film and the Mortal Kombat series were eager to find out whether it was Peter Weller — the actor who brought the RoboCop character to life in the movie — the one who was voicing the character.
Mortal Kombat series co-creator Ed Boon has the answer for that question, revealing that Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath's RoboCop is indeed being voiced by Peter Weller — who hasn't played the role of the iconic character since RoboCop 2 hit theatres in 1990.
On May 26th the epic saga continues with Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath! This new entry expands the critically acclaimed story campaign of Mortal Kombat 11 with an all-new cinematic narrative centered around trust and deceit. Joining the fight will be Mortal Kombat alumni, Fujin and Sheeva, and guest character, RoboCop, making his series debut!
Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath will release for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC on the 26th of May.
