The
Terminator franchise came up a couple of times during the recent E3 event. Firstly, it was revealed that the terrifying cyborg will be coming to
Gears of War 5 as a pre-order exclusive. Similarly, the second time The Terminator made an appearance was during an announcement of some themed DLC for
Ghost Recon: Breakpoint.
Now the
Terminator franchise's invasion of the gaming industry continues as a recent leak (via
Comicbook.com) appears to have revealed that the dreaded cyborg character will be added to
Mortal Kombat 11 as a DLC fighter.
It seems that last night, somebody at either NetherRealm or Google made a bit of a slip-up. If you searched "Mortal Kombat Terminator game," into the search engine you'd be greeted with an ad from
Mortal Kombat's official website which states that the the MK 11 Terminator is to be added to the latest instalment. It has since been removed, but that only gives it more credibility.
Naturally, with the internet being the way that it is, someone was able to nab a screenshot before it was removed. You can check out that screenshot below:
Though this looks pretty official, there's always a chance that it isn't. Keep that in mind. However, this does back up
previous reports that stated the very same thing. So at the moment, it's looking more likely than not.
The all new Custom Character Variations give you unprecedented control to customize the fighters and make them your own. The new graphics engine showcasing every skull-shattering, eye-popping moment, brings you so close to the fight you can feel it. And featuring a roster of new and returning Klassic Fighters, Mortal Kombat’s best in class cinematic story mode continues the epic saga over 25 years in the making.
Mortal Kombat 11 is currently available for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC.
