Mortal Kombat 1 kicked off its sixth season today, titled "The Reptile." And if you couldn't guess by the name, the newest season of content is themed around the arrival of Reptile as the main boss in Invasions mode.
The latest season, which is available now until July 23, features fresh challenges, story elements, boss battles, and rewards, such as character skins in the form of Snake Bite Baraka, Zaterran Fencer Kenshi, Crystal Komodo Sub-Zero, Serpentine Queen Sindel, Krocodilian General Shao, Entropic Gold Havik, Thunder Lizard Reptile, and more – earnable through Invasions and Kombat League.

While the latest season focuses on Reptile, today's update also sees The Boys' Homelander join the Mortal Kombat 1 roster today as the latest downloadable content character via the early access period for Kombat Pack owners. He will be available for everyone to purchase starting June 11th.
We got our first proper look at Homelander last week. The egotistical and sadistic narcissist -- and the main antagonist in The Boys comic book series (and show) -- not brings his God-like powers to the game, but some hilariously gruesome Fatalaties as well.
"Homelander is the most powerful being on the planet and the leader of The Seven, the elite superhero team owned and managed by Vought International," the official character breakdown for Homelander reads. "In a world where “Supes” are made, he’s the strongest of them all. Homelander presents himself as the ultimate patriot and protector, but don’t let his movie star good looks or high approval rating fool you. He is a murderous, narcissistic sociopath with an insatiable need for validation, love, and power. Homelander’s destruction of enemies and lust for power does not end with his world. Challengers from other realms will also face his wrath. As seen in the new video, Homelander asserts dominance over opponents through his super strength, aerial attacks, and capacity to laser enemies with his eyes."
Homelander's arrival in Mortal Kombat 1 comes as Season 4 of The Boys is readying for its debut. The highly anticipated fourth season will premiere on Prime Video on June 13.
Homelander is the fifth of six characters to be released in Mortal Kombat 1 via the Kombat Pass, joining the likes of Omni-Man, Quan Chi, Peacemaker, and Ermac. There's still one more character to go, and that will be Takeda arriving later this year.
Mortal Kombat 1 is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The Kombat Pass is also available as a standalone purchased, or included in the Premium Editions of the game.
