An animated
Mortal Kombat movie was first teased earlier in 2019, and was supposed to be some sort of a tie in to the live-action
Mortal Kombat movie that was also in development at the time. Series co-creator Ed Boon finally confirmed the existence of this animated project in January of this year.
Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpions Revenge will focus, as the name appropriately suggests, on Hanzo Hasashi and on the tragic events that led him to become the Scorpion that fans of the
Mortal Kombat series know and love — while also covering the events of the first
Mortal Kombat tournament.
Boasting the talents of Patrick Seitz, who is returning to the series as Scorpion, Jennifer Carpenter(Sonya Blade), Jordan Rodrigues(Liu Kang), Steve Blum(Sub Zero), and Joel McHale as Johnny Cage,
Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge will definitely have fans of the series on the edge of their seat.
Mortal Kombat series co-creator
Ed boon has also revealed that the Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge will be rated R, and today we got a phenomenal, and gory red band trailer that shows off the kind of over the top violence that only
Mortal Kombat can deliver.
