NYCC '16: TEKKEN 7 Tie-In Comic Announced

One of the big announcements coming out of this year's New York Comic-Con is a new collaboration between Titan Comics and Bandai Namco Entertainment for a new Tekken comic series featuring Heihachi Mishima, Yoshimitsu, Nina Williams and Paul Phoenix.

Tekken 7 will be arriving on PS4, Xbox One and PC in Q1 2017 and it seems there will be a companion comic series released by Titan Comics.  The series was announced at NYCC 2016 and confirmed to have a 2017 release date.  A creative team was not announced but was promised to be unveiled in the coming weeks.  

Titan Comics editor Jessica Burton stated in a press release, "Tekken is one of the most exciting games on the market, and as a lifelong fan, I can't wait to delve more into these characters' thrilling stories!  The incredible visuals and fighting pace are sure to make a brilliant transition into comics, one we're delighted to be adding to our games line!"

Character confirmed to appear in the series are Heihachi Mishima, Yoshimitsu, Nina Williams and Paul Phoenix.  

Tekken 7 was released in Japanese arcades in early-2015 and fill finally make the transition to current-gen consoles in early-2017.
