Ever since Arc System Works announced Guilty Gear - Strive -, the developer has been releasing trailers that introduce players to some of the characters that will be part of the game's roster. So far, most of them are characters that have been part of the series since its early beginnings.
As revealed by the developer, the game was initially expected to launch for the PlayStation 4 later this year, but they never really give us an official date; all they revealed was that we should expect it at some point in Q3 or Q4 of 2020. Other than that, updates on the state of the project have been few and far between.
Today, Arc System Works has got some rather upsetting news, as they reveal that Guilty Gear - Strive - will no longer be releasing this year, and that players should now expect it to launch early in 2021, which is somewhat expected considering that we barely know anything about the game, other than the fighters it will feature.
Not everything is disappointing news, however, as Arc System Works has also announced that players wil lalso be able to experience Guilty Gear - Strive - on PlayStation 5 and PC(Steam) — which is, again, expected, albeit quite uplifting news.
There's more, though, since the developers also released a new trailer that introduces players to newcomer Giovanna, and also revealed that Guilty Gear - Strive - will feature a total of 15 playable characters at launch; teasing that two more are yet to be revealed.
UPDATE: Arc System Works has, since, revealed that Guilty Gear - Strive - will be officially launching on Friday the 9th of April, while the Deluxe and Ultiamte editions of the game will launch on Tuesday the 6th of April. New official trailer, which has been now included down below, has also been released.
