A few weeks ago, and before
Mortal Kombat 11 released,
some data miners managed to find all of the DLC characters that NetherRealm had planned to release after the game's launch. According to the files retrieved,
Mortal Kombat 11 would be introducing Terminator, Spawn, and Ash WIlliams as guest fighters for the game.
Well, it turns out that Bruce Campbell himself — the man who has played Ash Williams since Sam Raimi's
The Evil Dead — has recently shared a pretty funny tweet in which he completely annihilates that "certain internet rumor" with his Fatality; and in less than two seconds, no less.
Okay, so Campbell's tweet is funny and claims the shoot down the datamined files that said Ash was joining
Mortal Kombat 11 as a guest fighter. Datamined files are usually a very legitimate source when it comes to figuring out upcoming fighters in, well, fighting games — so this still isn't a definitive "no" for either Ash or the other datamined characters.
According to Bruce Campbell, Ash Williams is not in
Mortal Kombat 11, but we will still have to wait for NetherRealm Studios to reveal more information on the guest characters. Again, Bruce Campbell's tweet is still pretty funny so
Mortal Kombat and
The Evil Dead fans can, at least, have that in the meantime.
