NetherRealm Studios is not a stranger to guest characters in their games. The most recent one, Injustice 2, had the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Hellboy join the roster. Now, fans are loudly demanding Scooby Doo's own Shaggy joins the fighting roster of MK11.

This is how serious fans are getting, there is a Change.org petition going on right now asking for Shaggyy as a DLC character in Mortal Kombat 11. 94,400 people have signed in as of right now and their target goal is to hit 150,000 backers. WokenNews is leading the change petition.

This would mean for Hanna-Barbera and Warner Brothers work up a deal and somehow include the famous Scooby Doo character. Creative Director Ed Boon went to Twitter and poked a bit of fun at the matter by sharing a picture of Shaggy with what looks like a power aura and saying "Hi? Lo? Mid? Grab? I will mix your $%^$ up in fighting games!".

Of course, referring to the character's moveset potential, Ed Boon is certainly up to the addition of Shaggy. What do you think? Would you like to see Shaggy step in the arena and kombat? As soon as more in this story pops up, we will let you know.

Mortal Kombat is back and better than ever in the next evolution of the iconic franchise.

Mortal Kombat 11 hits the PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC on April 23
