A new entry on the official PlayStation Blog has revealed the list of April's most-downloaded games on the PlayStation Store, and NetherRealm Studios' fantastic
Mortal Kombat 11 is sitting very comfortably in the number one spot.
What's even more interesting is that
Mortal Kombat 11 has also managed to edge out Sony Interactive Entertainment and Bend Studio's very own
Days Gone, in spite of the latter having been voted "Best New Game" of PlayStation's Player's Choice for the month of April.
Upon releasing,
Days Gone received some very lukewarm reviews from both critics and players. This coupled with the fact that Mortal Kombat, as a series, has been around for over 20 years definitely helped boost those Mortal Kombat 11 sales.
Sadly, the PlayStation Blog didn't give us any sales numbers, which would definitely be interesting to compare for both physical and digital sales of NetherRealm Studios'
Mortal Kombat 11 and Bend Studio's
Days Gone.
The all new Custom Character Variations give you unprecedented control to customize the fighters and make them your own. The new graphics engine showcasing every skull-shattering, eye-popping moment, brings you so close to the fight you can feel it. And featuring a roster of new and returning Klassic Fighters, Mortal Kombat’s best in class cinematic story mode continues the epic saga over 25 years in the making.
Mortal Kombat 11 is currently available for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC.
