Street Fighter came out for arcades in 1987 and featured some gameplay mechanics that would change fighting games forever, as well as making the genre what it is today. Although, it wouldn't become a household name until
Street Fighter II hit the arcades in a way that it had never been seen before, thus creating the series that we all know and love.
In order to celebrate 30 years of
Street Fighter, Capcom is releasing the
Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Steam. The collection includes 12 arcade classics that go from
Street Fighter,
Street Fighter II in all of its iterations, all 3
Street Fighter Alpha games, and the 3 revisions of
Street Fighter III.
As a new addition, the
Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection will include Online modes for
Street Fighter II Hyper Fighting,
Super Street Fighter II Turbo,
Street Fighter Alpha 3, and
Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike—with Casual and Ranked matches accross all four games. The game also includes Historical Documents for the
Street Fighter franchise, concept art, an interactive timeline of the games, and non-stop fighting goodness liek only
Street Fighter can deliver.
