DOOM 64 May Be Making A Comeback, As The Game Has Been Rated By The PEGI Rating System

There's a rumor doing the rounds, which seems to suggest that Bethesda wasn't done with DOOM ports — as the Nintendo 64-exclusive DOOM 64 has been rated by the PEGI rating system.

It seems that Bethesda wasn't done revealing classic DOOM titles, as a recent rumor doing the rounds seems to suggest that the Nitnendo 64-exclusive DOOM 64 will also be re-released at some point soon.

As spotted by Gematsu, who shared the information on their Twitter account, the PEGI rating system had rated DOOM 64 on their website; a rating that can no longer be found. Gematsu does mention, however, that DOOM 64 being rated was in addition to DOOM and DOOM II's ratings.

What's even more interesting, is the fact that DOOM 3 had not been rated, which could mean that this was all a misunderstanding and instead of DOOM 64 they meant to post the DOOM 3 rating instead.

Another interesting fact is that the game's only been rated for the PlayStation 4 and PC, although both DOOM and DOOM II were also only rated for the PlayStation 4 and PC; even when the games ended up being released for the Nintendo Switch,Xbox One, and even iOS and Android devices.

DOOM 64 was released for the Nintendo 64 back in 1997 and has never been re-released — meaning that the only way fans have to play this game is by owning the console and a copy of the game; DOOM 64 getting a re-release would be, without the shadow of a doubt, great for fans of the demon-slaying series. Fingers crossed.
