Doom is a franchisew that really doesn't require any kind of introduction, especially after Bethesda soft-rebooted it with the critically accalimed Doom in 2016. The game brought back everything that made the classic title a classic, plus some new and improved gameplay mechanics that encouraged players to tackle combat headfirst.
Since 2016, the game was ported to pretty much every console available, being the Nintendo Switch the last console to get the pleasure to have Doom added to its library of games. Now Bethesda has announced—during their E3 conference—that
Doom is getting a proper sequel in the form of
Doom Eternal that will have players taking control of Doomguy once more and killing demons left and right.
We still won't get a chance to see Doom Eternal in action until the 10th of August—when the game's gameplay is officially showcased at the Quakecon—so, in the meantime check out this amazing new trailer for the game!
