EPIC GAMES Has Big FORTNITE Plans, Constantly Evolving

One of the great things with Epic Games and Fortnite is the fact that they keep the game changing, and I mean changing every week. They always add new events, patches with balance changes and the super popular cosmetic features (skins, emotes, backpacks, etc.). One of the reasons the game is doing so great, the developers listen to players and tweak the game, just like they talk about in their blog.

"Fortnite is constantly evolving," Epic Games began in their outline of coming changes. "Our goal with any changes is to keep the game fun and interesting, keeping it feeling fresh and new."

Talking about balancing, they also touched upon the use of different weapons and strategies to win in the battle royale game mode. In a game like Fortnite, there is way over one way to win.

"It’s important to support a variety of late game strategies, that don’t boil down to “just build lol”. We strongly believe that the evolution of Fortnite supports a wide range of play styles and counterplay. Currently, the superiority of shotguns, rockets, and uncapped building are such a dominant play style in the final circle that most other strategies are being drowned out."

The developers also spoke about the changes occuring right now. What are they doing at the moment that will help the game evolve and give players a better experience overall?

"We have made a few changes recently -- and will continue to make more -- to give you options to counter other players in combat, especially in the late game." They added, "We are exploring changes to weapon balance and resource economy, like e.g. resource caps."

This is only the beginning folks, go over to their website and read more on the changes coming to the game.

Fortnite is free and available right now for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Mobile and Nintendo Switch.
