Whether you are the best on the team or simply a very casual gamer that plays it for fun, you could probably take advantage of an update like this. It could bring drastic changes that could possibly affect how the team strategy is performed. A couple of YouTubers and Twitch streamers already gave their opinions on the matter and they are all in favor. Producer Zack Estep said:
"We’ve been considering this mechanic for a while and have been exploring it. Want to make sure we give it the time it needs and fully understand its impact on the game as a whole. Look for further updates during Season 8."
This update is probably coming with the idea of making squads more strategic and giving players the ability to get up again and continue where they left off. Obviously you can say this idea was derived from Apex Legends, but no statement of the kind has been made so we won’t assume. If Epic Games does end up adding this feature, it could probably mean it has a special new game mode to take advantage of longer game sessions.
Something that is in fact confirmed is that updates will bring better team communication, details are not specified. Either way, this update will have undoubtedly good content for team players who are just not satisfied with Fortnite’s squads. Here is what Eric Williamson, Lead Design had to say: "There are some improvements coming in Season 8 that will help with map markers & team communication, and we're always mindful of how we can make these areas better."
“Fortnite Battle Royale is the FREE 100-player PvP mode in Fortnite. One giant map. A battle bus. Fortnite building skills and destructible environments combined with intense PvP combat. The last one standing wins.”
Fortnite is available for the PS4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, Android, and iOS
