Electronic Arts and DICE have announced (via @EAStarWars) new Star Wars: Episode IX — The Rise of Skywalker content that will soon be coming to Star Wars Battlefront II. Additionally, Star Wars Battlefront II: Celebration Edition has been officially announced — and will be launching tomorrow!

Star Wars Battlefront II: Celebration Edition will include over 25 Hero Appearances, including six Legendary Apperances, plus one Apperance each for Rey, Finn, and Kylo Ren inspired by Star Wars: Episode IX — The Rise of Skywalker. Included will also be more than 125 Trooper and Reinforcement Appearances, as well as over 100 Hero and Trooper Emotes and Voice Lines.

The first batch of Star Wars Episode IX — The Rise of Skywalker content will arrive on December 17th and even more will become available after the upcoming film arrives in theatres. The December 17th update will also introduce new Hero Appearances, co-operative experiences, and reinforcements — including the Sith Trooper and First Order Jet Trooper.

Another major content update will come to Star Wars Battlefront II in January and introduce new co-operative experiences and both BB-8 and BB-9E as playable Heroes. More on that will be revealed closer to launch.
