Despite being a generally well-made production, Star Wars: Battlefront II has failed to live up to Electronic Arts' sales goals. Thanks to the aggressive and mindless use of loot boxes, microtransactions, and never-stopping monetization, many players have turned their backs on the Star Wars title to never come back to it, despite DICE's ambitious efforts to improve the game in the post-launch support.

A little over a year after initially releasing, EA has announced that the controversial Star Wars: Battlefront II has now come to EA Access, a video gaming subscription that lets you play EA's games as much as you want on your Xbox One. Naturally, nothing is for free, as an EA Access membership is $4.99 a month. If you buy a new EA game, your membership pays for itself with a 10% discount.

EA Access currently offers members access to a Vault of over 80 EA-published titles, including Battlefield 1, Titanfall 2, FIFA 17, Mass Effect: Andromeda, Need for Speed, UFC 2, Madden NFL 17, and Mirror’s Edge Catalyst. It might be the right time to jump back into Battlefront II, as DICE added a fresh Genosis map and some new Star Wars: Attack of the Clones-inspired content to the game in November.

Forge a new path as Iden Versio, commander of Inferno Squad—an Imperial special forces unit equally lethal on the ground and in space. Encounter many of Star Wars' greatest characters in a story of revenge, betrayal, and redemption that spans 30 years. Hurtle between the rooftops of Theed in a speeding starfighter, cut swaths through armies of Clones with Darth Maul, and build your legacy on the battlefield. Your Star Wars fantasies come to life in Battlefront II's multiplayer.

Star Wars Battlefront II is out now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
