Tom Clancy's The Division 2 Warlords of New York has officially gone live. The latest expansion takes players back to where it all began, New York City, the setting for the first game, in an effort to track down and stop former Agent Aaron Keener.
In the latest expansion, Keener and his network of Rogue Agents present a grave threat to what's left of civilization. Players will return to Lower Manhattan, a former Dark Zone that was hit by a devastating hurricane, to track down Keener. Warlords of New York will introduce four new named zones, each crafted at a 1:1 New York Scale with iconic locations such as Two Bridges, Civic Center, Battery Park, and Financial District. Before dealing with Keener, players will first have to track down adn stop each of his Rogue Agents, all of whom have their own unique backstory and a new skill that becomes availablle once the Rogue Agent is taken down.
In addition to the new narrative-driven content,
Warlords of New York introduces Seasons, three-month-long themed endgame events with their own story-driven mini campaigns that feature a new main target and connecting network to track down. Each Season will bring new gameplay experiences and unique rewards, in-game activities, and League challenges that offer a chance to unlock rewards.
Global Events are also returning. These time-limited events in which a global modifier is applied to the entire game. Players will be rewarded by completing specific tasks with these global modifiers assigned.
Seasons will come with their own set of rewards that can be collected through a Season Pass. By participating in various activities or just by playing the game, players will gain Season Levels that, in turn, unlock seasonal rewards. Even more rewards can be collected by those who own the Season Pass. The first Season begins on March 10. The first Season Pass will be free for all
Warlords of New York players.
Along with all of this new content comes a full overhaul to some of
The Division 2's core gameplay mechanis. Title Update 8 makes it easier to read and manage inventory gear, updating the user interface sot aht it always shows the roll ranges for each state on a piece of gear or weapon. The update also marks the return of god rolls and streamlines gear recalibration.
