Electronic Arts announced today that
Madden NFL 19 will be released on August 10 this year, unusually early for the yearly football franchise. In announcing the game, the publisher also revealed that 2018 Pro Football Hall of Fame Inductee, wide receiver, Terrell Owens will fittingly grace the cover of the Hall of Fame Edition of the game.
The Hall of Fame Edition of
Madden 19 grants three-day early access, while also allowing those who purchase the game to choose between Owens, Brian Urlacher, Rod Woodson, or Dan Marino to be the cornerstone of their Ultimate Team. Additionally, the Hall of Fame version also includes 12 Gold Team Fantasy Packs, one Elite Madden 19 cover athlete (TBA), and two All-Madden uniforms.
As for the actual game, EA says of

With Real Player Motion Technology, a new animation system that unlocks next level responsiveness and player personality, players will experience more precision as they run, cut, catch and celebrate on the gridiron this season. Along with more authentic ways to build an NFL roster, the ability to train and develop players, achieving NFL greatness never felt so personal.
More specifically, the often ignored Franchise Mode will allow players to choose the offensive and defense schemes that best fit their playstyle. According to EA,
"Schemes are also linked to a new intuitive progression system - based on authentic positional archetypes - that give virtual coaches the tools and the big decision to either win now or build their squad for the future." Additionally, Franchise Mode will see the introduction of Custom Draft Creator, a top community-requested feature where players can create their own draft classes featuring players from the past and present for use in Franchise.
As for Ultimate Team,
Madden 19 introduces Player Upgrades, giving fans "
more ways to choose their path to glory as new training tools let them develop their favorite players." For those who prefer Solo Challenges, there's a new single-player experience called MUT Solo Battles which provides a leaderboard reward system to showcase their skills while competing against others.
Madden NFL 19 will be released on August 10, with those who purchase the Hall of Fame Edition getting 3-day earlier access on August 7. EA Access members on Xbox One can actually start playing on August 2 and will also receive a 10 percent discount when pre-ordered on Xbox LIVE.
