Google Stadia is the new guy to the video game market, and if you’re a hardcore gamer, then you might have been considering the premium Google Stadia Founder's Edition. This version of the product has since been sold out in Europe, but if you’re in the US, then luck is on your side for the time being.
Now, according to Jack Buser, Google director for games, in an interview with Games Radar, the search giant will remove the Founder's Edition from the EU store very soon, if it hasn’t been done already.
"I'm super proud to tell you that the Founders Edition for Stadia has sold out in Europe. We'll be removing the Founders Edition from the Google Store page in EU countries today, but we're going to replace it with a new bundle that we are calling the Premier Edition."
It should be noted that the Premier Edition is the same as the Founder's Edition for the most part. The only big differences are the missing Buddy Pass that allows the owner to gift a friend a ChromeCast Ultra. Additionally, it does not come packed with the Night Blue limited-edition Stadia controller.
Not only that, but the Founder's Edition comes with the ability for owners to secure a username before everyone else. Its probably now very clear why this version of Google Stadia managed to sell out so quickly in Europe.
